A 5 X 3'30 creative works directed in 1996 by Cathy Vogan
In art as in life, we exercise our bodies, tuning them to become perfectly regulated instruments. We invent machines that allow us to do things in SYNC with a conceptual clock, or, failing that, to hide our human errors and to only reveal our successes. An example of this kind of machine is an audio/ video recorder. A good filmmaker is a good synchronizer. One cannot resist his arguments, as he is the master of time, the master of the moment. This moment, the editing process, is a fictional one. It not only precedes, but also defines the very credibility of a film.
This film is an irresistible demonstration of film editing.
