In Conakry, selling second-hand clothes coming from Europe is the livelihood of hundreds of women.
They are grouped at the market of roundabout of Matoto and they are a world apart.
My sister Fatoumata Keïta is part of this group. They are very resourceful. Every morning, she goes early to the market, to resell retail the ball of secondhand clothes that she bought the day before at a wholesaler.
The film traces moments of lives and reveals the side both friendly and bitter of the saleswomen. In the course of scenes, is coming joy, hope and uncertainties of a human comedy in which they are the actresses.
There are more than thousand containers of balls of second-hand clothes from Europe that are landed every month in Conakry, Guinea.
