Doubs, Loue, crossed destinies
A 52’ documentary directed in 2013 by Jean-Philippe Macchioni
The Doubs and Loue are the two major rivers of Franche-Comté, two emblematic figures of the region, linked by a unique feature in Europe: one is the "daughter" of the other, because of the mysteries of circulation of the water in the bowels of the Earth.
But they have two "destinies" totally opposed.
For years, the Loue is dying slowly, while the Doubs never worn as well, a situation exactly opposite to that of past decades.
Crossed destinies, in which the responsibility of men is heavily involved, for better or for worse.
