Antonio Najarro, Spanish Dance in Sharing
A 54’ documentary directed in 2014 by Jean-Marie David
By supporting the work of dancer and choreographer Antonio Najarro, artistic director of the prestigious National Spanish Ballet, founded in 1979 by Antonio Gades, the film offers the viewer to discover and understand flamenco and its associated disciplines (Escuela Bolera, various Iberian dances...).
Not only Antonio Najarro opens wide the doors of the National Ballet and other symbolic places of Flamenco in Madrid and Seville, but with generosity, he does not hesitate to reveal the creative process of a great ballet master, sharing with us the intricacies of an art in constant evolution, lived as a lifestyle rooted with strength and flamboyance in the soul of a nation.
