Street Art - Art and Resistance
A 53’ documentary directed in 2013 by Marie Bigot
Street Art is a part of the visual landscape of the average and big cities around the world. It imposes itself. In France, we don't find street art only in Paris, but also in the countryside and in other cities such has in Brittany and Normandy.
The phenomenon extends from the city center walls to the disused areas. The realizations are sometimes confidential but sometimes monumental. Why? What is Street Art? Collages, graffitis, stencils: is it the same? Can we regroup under the same name the different technics and the different ambitions? If some believes they are artists, some believes they are resistant fighters. What resistance? What are they oppose to?
