Mwe Bana Bandi (you my children)
A 29' documentary directed in 1988 by Païvi Takal, Kristiina Tuura
Two school boys, Enoc Mpala and Morris Chundu, living in a small village in Zambia, spend the day helping out with the harvest, playing and making music. Music is an integral part of work and play. Since manufactured toys are rare, most play things for the children come out of their imaginations of children, like reed guitars and maize stalk "hondas".
A touching tender documentary about the songs and dances of children.
