Etats Généraux - A portrait of Philippe Saire
A 52' documentary directed in 2006 by Kamal Musale
Through the eye of the Swiss-Indian film-maker Kamal Musale, this film proposes an exclusive portrait of dancer-choreographer Philippe Saire's, witness and creator of the current trends in the world of contemporary dance; an intimate way of approaching this often misknown art.
This film-portrait revisits Philippe Saire's personal story, his deep motivations and work in link with the contemporary scene.
Three journalists (Marie-Pierre Genecand, Alexandre Barrelet and Andreas Hoessli) shed light on the process of creation that inhabits the choreographer and, through him, question each of us about the use of creation.
